Strength Training for Triathletes

I was able to give a talk in New York at the first NYC tri expo.  It was a fun event.  I spoke on problems I see with triathletes and how they run their strength training.

I follow four rules:
  1. Know your injury history
  2. Get screened for current issues
  3. Analyze the running gait
  4. Keep it short and simple

The work with Texas Tech is just beginning and something I looking forward to developing.

Craig is unlike any physical therapist I have been to
I have been plagued with little aches and major ones and Craig has kept me doing what I love to do!! He will listen and take his time with you which is priceless in a world so focused on volume. Thank you Craig! You're the best!!

Hi Craig,

I appreciate your view on stregnth training for triathletes. Although this makes sense in how you present the idea of stregth training I think that endurance athletes have a mind set that more is better. Not only do they think more is better but they seem to grasp any new idea on training which is in many instances unscientific in nature. I am as gulity as the any triathlete but I find it refreshing to get true scientific reasoning in a training program. Thank you for all your research!
